ABOUT
MUSIC SCHOOL FOR MUSICALLY GIFTED CHILDREN
Neue Sterne School of Music is a subsidiary project of the Neue Sterne Music Academy in Hanover.
The main goal of the project is to offer comprehensive music education for children who wish to study a musical instrument at a professional level.
The Professional Music Department lasts ten years and concludes with an official school certificate that qualifies students to apply for admission to a university-level music institution. The program includes instrumental instruction, music theory, and music history, as well as a structured system of examinations and public performances.
The General Music Department is designed for children aged 6 to 20 and provides a broad-based music education lasting at least seven years. In addition to instrumental lessons, it includes instruction in music theory and history.
The general program differs from the professional track in terms of study duration, weekly lesson hours, examination requirements, and the level of initial musical ability expected from the student.
A transfer from the General to the Professional Department is possible upon successful completion of an entrance evaluation. The program is available in German, English, and Russian. Admission to the Professional Department is only possible by passing an entrance examination.
